Dr. Lorin Vogel
Raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Lorin Vogel followed in his father’s footsteps and also graduated from UCLA. For his doctorate, he attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.
During the summer of 2007, during his travels in Southeast Asia, Dr. Vogel volunteered his time performing eye care in Battambang, Cambodia through the SEVA Foundation (www.seva.org). Dr. Vogel treated hundreds of local men, women, and children in various clinics and orphanages throughout the countryside. In more recent years, Dr. Vogel has lent his help to the UCLA Mobile Clinic where he performed free eye exams for the local homeless population.
In addition to working in his private practice, for several years Dr. Vogel practiced in a busy ophthalmology clinic where he treated and co-managed patients with various eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy.
Dr. Vogel has a special interest in helping patients with dry eye disease. He dedicates a few days a week to help people manage this difficult condition at his Dry Eye Clinic at Village Eyes Optometry. Using the latest techniques, he is able to help patients by providing significant relief from their symptoms. For more information, please visit our website, www.dryeyeslosangeles.com.
The year 2014 was a big year for Dr. Vogel because he welcomed his son, Connor into the world! Although he doesn’t have nearly the amount of free time that he used to have, Dr. Vogel still enjoys seeing the occasional live music concert, working out and skiing.
